A conversion of a Tudor barn into a two storey reception room. It was turned into a barn in the eighteenth century and the current owners wished to bring it back into habitation. No. 1 The oak window frames were built back into the walls during the oak beam repairs. No. 2 The metal frames and leaded lights during fitting, furniture matched to that used in part of the building. No. 3 The completed east front. No. 4 The west front near completion, a twentieth century garage door being turned into a door and windows and new windows above. No. 5 An additional window let in high up to the south had painted stained glass panels of Walnut leaves with additional work by the clients' young daughters, transcribed into fired glass images "squirrel and nuts" commemorating a special family event. This brought colour into the high room that was projected into the darker space of an adjacent room. |
