The cast quarries of Powell and Co. with their distinctive textured surface, contrasting dark trace lines and yellow silverstain detailing make them recognisable in many 19th. century Churches and Chapels. Vandalism and wear and tear has meant a need to inevitably replace some whilst undergoing restoration or general maintenance. We reproduce these as three dimensional quarries either for supply to other restorers or for our own restoration work.

No.1 St. Thomas's Colnbrook, Berkshire: This is a Pugin Church which underwent unsympathetic re-decoration in the 1960's and the organ was built in front of the World War 1 memorial chapel windows and a building with sloping roof directly outside afforded access for thieves and consequent damage to the window. We restored the damaged panels and removed and resited the windows back to their previous location on the South side of the Church. A programme of restoration was undertaken and other windows were restored and relocated to their original positions.

No.2 St. Nicholas's Islip. Oxfordshire: A large amount of vandalism throughout the Church including Powell and co. glass meant the complete rebuilding of all the glass on the south side. The panels were predominately of the cast kind and of four distinctly different patterns. Other glass was of plain diamonds in an antique yellow tint. Odd painted glass repairs were required for random stone damaged quarries.

No. 3 Work in progress new quarries in various stages of manufacture.

No. 4 Patchwork panel of remnants from many jobs including cast quarries of Powell and Co.
