These pieces are all individual, they are formed from old oak
branches that have died off leaving the hard heart wood. We select suitable
snags, remove debris and soak in linseed oil. A leaded glass panel is
created to follow the form of the wood. They can be stood vertically in the
ground and if so a stainless steel rod will be let into the branch, or laid
along the ground.
Combinations of both make good groupings especially with
gravel or pebbled areas. Sizes from one meter (approx) are good for
courtyard and dry gardens, larger pieces grouped for a focal point. They are
very good in town garden where space is precious and a tall thin focal point
takes the eye up, perhaps maximizing the main directional light.
