We are asked to design windows predominantly for toilets and bathrooms to replace the dull opaque glass that is usually in place. By careful use of opaque and textured glass or painted fired detailing both privacy and views can be accommodated. By bringing colour and a personal interest into the room it is transformed. Plants and birds are most regularly requested and are often very personal to our clients. A Lesser spotted woodpecker on the bird table or the Kingfisher that flies past the window. We use painted fired stained glass usually onto clear or white glass and this means that fine feather or fur detailing is possible. Coloured enamels for plumage if suitable. Windows with partial detailing in a reception room that give a focus to the room and hide neighbours are a personal way of bringing the garden into a suburban setting. |
